EXPERIENCED TEACHERS Teachers have current teaching certificate Over 100 years combined experience teaching driver education
has 28
years experience teaching and coaching high school students; twenty-five of those years have been in the Deer Creek community.
He was selected 2006 teacher of the year at Deer Creek High School. His diverse teaching/coaching style appeals to all
learners. He has taught subjects to students in the Pre-AP program as well as students with special learning needs.
In addition, he helped initiate the first driver's education program at Guthrie Job Corps and has taught defensive driving
courses at University of Central Oklahoma.
Stan Dowers has a current teaching certificate and has taught in the Edmond School District for many years. He also has a certification in safety from UCO and is certified through Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.
Rick Nordike - is currently teaching at Edmond North High School. He has a degree in Public Safety from UCO and is certified through Oklahoma Department of Public Safety. Rick has also coached at Edmond North H.S. for many years.
Randy Smith has 37 years experience as a coach and a teacher in the Putnam City School District. Randy not only taught in the classroom, he also coached many different sports in his career. He taught driver education for all of his 37 year in his teaching career. Randy has a college certification to teach driver education and is certified by the Department of Public Safety.
John Dillon Mr. Dillon is a long time resident of the Edmond community. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with an accounting degree, and is also certified by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety as a driving instructor. John is president of Forte Force, a business consulting firm.
Jon Hunter Jon
has been teaching in the Edmond School System for the past 10 years. He holds a Bachelors of Science in education.
He now coaches girl's softball at UCO. Jon is certified by Oklahoma Department of Education and Oklahoma Department
of Public Safety
Cindy Nordyke is a certified teacher by OK Department of Education
and currently has a her teaching certification. She taught in Edmond Public School for 16 years. She is a certified
by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety as a driving instructor.
Lynn Stewart - has been in education for over 34 years. He spent most of his career in Lawton where he taught many subjects, as well as, drivers education. He was also a coach, counselor and principal throughout his distinguished career in education. He retire and moved to Edmond with his wife, Kathy Stewart - Santa Fe Counselor, where he became part of the Santa Fe High School faculty.
Tom Plunkett - Has been an educator and coach for 35 years. He is currently teaching and coaching at Choctaw High School. Coach Plunkett has also taught in several school districts in Texas and Oklahoma including Del City, Edmond, Putnam City, Deer Creek, Temple and Paris Tx. Tom comes to Champion with two years of driving instruction experience.
